President Buhari has sacked the heads of Army, Navy and Air force. The service chiefs that have been relieved of their duties are Sambo Dasuki, national security adviser, Air Chief Marshall Alex Badeh, Chief of defence staff, Vice Admiral Usman Jibrin, Chief of Naval Staff. Lieutenant General Kenneth Minimah, Chief of Army Staff and Air Marshall Adesola Amosu, Chief of Air Staff.
Presidential Spokesman has confirmed that the president has asked them to step aside.
No replacements have been announced.
