"I'll get married again in December" - Chris Okotie"

I read this story and i totally do not believe it is true! I mean, the Man of God just seperated from his wife of 4 years!!!!.

According to teh gist,  Rev Chris Okotie has said again that come December, he's going to be married again because it's not good for the man to be alone, quoting God from the book of Genesis. If he goes ahead, that will be his 3rd marriage.

Pastor Chris was married to Tyna whom he left after 17 years of marriage. He then married Stephanie Henshaw and just recently ended the marriage.

I want to believe this third marriage idea is just a rumor and i am waiting for him to come out and refute these claims!

According to tests carried out by the Paris-based National Institute of Consumption (INC), more than half of leading colas contain the traces of alcohol.

These include the brand leaders Coca-Cola and Pepsi Cola, while it is mainly only cheap supermarket versions of the drink which are alcohol-free.The alcohol levels are as low as 10mg in every litre, and this works out at around 0.001 per cent alcohol. (You have to drink about 13,000 cans to be over the limit).Traces of alcohol were found in Coca-Cola, Pepsi Cola, Coca-Cola Classic Light and Coke Zero.

Michel Pepin, scientific director for Coca-Cola France, said: Paris Mosque has provided us with a certificate stating that our products can be consumed by the Muslim community in line with the religious opinions of the Committee of the Mosque of Paris.'

Alternative routes during 3rd mainland bridge repair

According to Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the road linking Yaba to Oyingbo, down to Funsho Williams Avenue is one of the strategic roads that had been provided by the government in the last five years.

“The road will be closed between 00:00am and 12:00 pm. These are the times of diversion and these are the critical times. During these times, there will be two scenarios.

“In the morning that is between 00:00am and 12:00pm, when coming from the Island to the Mainland, at Adeniji- Adele, one is expected to divert to Carter Bridge. When one gets to Carter Bridge, one is expected to proceed to Iddo, where the redistribution will happen. From Iddo, one can proceed to Herbert Macaulay Way down to Jibowu and link either Agege Motor Road or Ikorodu Road.
”Also, from Iddo, one may like to link Ijora Olopa, one will need to link Eko Bridge and from that bridge one can get to Funsho Williams Avenue. From Funsho Williams Avenue, between Ojuelegba and Moshalasi, one can decide to use either Ikorodu Road or Agege Motor Road to link other parts of the mainland. “
Ibirogba said the new Lagos Traffic Radio would provide comprehensive traffic information during the repair period to help with traffic management.

Men who impregnant and abandon women to be prosecuted in Lagos

It is now a criminal offence in Lagos for a man to desert a woman he impregnated, the State Attorney General, Ade Ipaye, said on Tuesday.
At the sensitisation programme on the ‘Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011′ and ‘Administration of Criminal Justice Law, 2011′, Mr Ipaye said the law was enacted to protect pregnant women and their babies.
“Any person who impregnates a woman or girl and fails, refuses or neglects to contribute to maternity related cost from ante-natal or post-natal stages, is guilty of an offence under section 277 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State and is liable to face the wrath of the law,” he said.
Mr Ipaye, who also doubles as the Commissioner for Justice, said the state criminal law was enacted to regulate public order and provide rules on criminal conduct, among other objectives.
According to the Attorney General, the old law handed down by the British Colonial Government was outdated, as it mainly reflected the values of the colonial administration.
He however stressed that the new law has replaced the Criminal Code Law of Lagos State Cap.C17 Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003, introduced in Southern Nigeria in 1914.

Killer behind Tupac shooting confesses

One of the greatest mysteries in hip-hop has finally gotten some closure. The person who planned the 1994 hit on Tupac Shakur at Quad Studios has finally come forward.
After being convicted of running an interstate drug operation, Jimmy Henchman confessed to authorities that he was the mastermind behind the shooting and robbery of Tupac Shakur that began the East Coast vs. West Coast war. According to the Village Voice, Henchman participated in "Queen For A Day" government sessions last fall where he confessed to being the brains behind the operation that landed Tupac in the hospital nursing five gunshot wounds. (The "Queen For A Day" program allows suspected assailants under investigation to enter an agreement with the government to confess knowledge of certain crimes with the agreement that the information won't be used to prosecute them.)

His confession unfolded as he was trying to carve out a cooperation deal that might lead to a reduced sentence, according to federal prosecutors. "Rosemond apparently came clean about his involvement in Tupac's ambush shortly after his former best friend, Dexter Isaac, stepped forward last summer to publicly confess that he had led the attack on Shakur in 1994. Isaac released a statement on June 16, 2011 to allhiphop.com, saying it was Rosemond who had paid him to rob and pistol-whip Tupac."

As our friends at HipHopWired pointed out, the statute of limitations when it comes to the robbery has expired. Criminals suspected of robbery can be prosecuted up to seven years after the crime. Though Henchman and one of his partners in the Tupac shooting have confessed, they did so well after the statute of limitations had expired. So no extra years can be added on to Henchman's sure-to-be lengthy prison sentence.

PRESIDENT JONATHAN MAY INTRODUCE NEW LAW ON BIRTH CONTROL

During the inauguration of Chairman and Commissioners of the National Population Commission (NPC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Good-luck Jonathan mentioned that a bill may soon be sponsored at the National Assembly which will seek to ensure birth control in the country.

However, Nigerians are very religious people and some religion frown on birth control and the President knows he will face some resistance but warns Nigerians that Nigerians should not oppose it on religious grounds as it is for the good of call.

Here is what he said...“For us to plan properly, we must manage our population, but it is extremely sensitive, we are extremely religious people, either you are a Christian or Moslem and even traditionalists believe that children are God’s gifts to man, so it is difficult for you to tell any Nigerian to limit the number of their children because they are gifts of God”.

“Sometimes you get to somebody’s house living in a well furnished duplex. The husband and wife there may have two, three four children. The maiguard guarding them have nine children. That is the scenario you have. That means there is a segment of the population that knows that you must get a number that you can manage but the other segment of the population don’t”.

Therefore, the president has assured that the law will be preceded by a period of intensive sensitization of the public on the advantages of birth control.

Commotion As Arik Diverts Passengers To P/Harcourt

Frightened passengers scurried to exit doors and sent frantic text messages to loved ones on Sunday night as Arik flight W3 272, which was diverted to Port Harcourt from Abuja, remained grounded for more than one hour with more than 100 people onboard at the Port Harcourt airport.
The terrified passengers remained locked inside the plane allegedly because the aircraft’s fuel tank selector had developed a fault.
Experts say that a faulty fuel tank selector may lead to fuel mismanagement and engine failure, as the pilot finds it difficult to determine the exact amount of fuel remaining in the tank. An empty engine can lead to a crash, they say.
The Lagos-bound plane was diverted to Port Harcourt at about 6 p.m. allegedly to pick more passengers only to be grounded there for more than one hour.

Meet the new NSA: Rtd. Col. Sambo Dasuki; a profile

Rtd. Col. Sambo Dasuki, new NSA

The new National Security Adviser, retired Col. Sambo Mohammed Dasuki, comes from the royal family of Sokoto: He is the son of the former Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Ahmed Dasuki, who was deposed by the military regime of the late Gen. Sani Abacha.
Believed to be close to former dictator Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, Abacha dismissed Dasuki and some military officers in 1993. Dasuki’s closeness to Babangida was said to have come about from the fact that he was once the dictator’s ADC, and he was actively involved in the 1985 coup that brought Babangida to power.
Dasuki later fled to the United States in 1995 after he was accused by the Abacha regime of being a party to a coup plot allegedly led by retired Col. Lawan Gwadabe.
On his return, former President Olusegun Obasanjo appointed him as the managing director of the National Security and Printing Company at the behest of Babangida.
A director of Regency Alliance, an insurance company, Dasuki attended the Washington DC and George Washington University, where he obtained a BA in International Relations and MA in Security Policy Studies respectively.
He had his military training in several institutions in Nigeria and abroad including the Nigerian Army School of Artillery, Oklahoma, U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Ft. Leavenworth Kensas.
His major task is to arrest the Boko Haram insurgency, which is threatening to spread into other parts of the country, apart from the North.
He will also be expected to tackle militancy in the South-South, where Nigeria derives its main source of revenue.
