The family of former minister for petroleum, Alison Madueke have finally given a statement says ...she was never arrested.

The former minister has been in the media recently over allegations of money laundering and bribery brought against her by the United Kingodm, UK, National Crime Agency.
The family has released statement titled ''The Truth Versus The Media Hysteria Against The Madueke Family.'' The statement which was signed by Barrister Oscar Onwudiwe, for and on behalf of the Madueke and Agama families, stated that Alison Madueke is currently battling with cancer. She started the treatment while she was in office and she has been receiving treatment since then.
She has completed months of chemotherapy and is due for surgery next month.
The family urged Nigerians to pray for recovery, adding that she is ready to face the allegations and give account of her stewardship, while in office.
