NAFDAC Boss interrogated by the EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) interrogated the National Agency for Food Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) Boss, Paul Orhii over allegations of abuse of office and contract on Monday after the anti graft agency invited him for questioning. The allegations were that supplies were made to NAFDAC and the company was linked with him.

Mr Orhii in a statement by the Director of Special Duties, Abubakar Jimoh, denied being arrested by the EFCC, saying he went there on his own. He explained that a former Director of Finance and Accounts of NAFDAC, Mr Demola Mogbojuri, had initiated a corruption against him and he said the claims were '' unsubstantiated, mindless and spurious.''

Mr. Orhii said there was nothing unusual about him visiting the EFCC.

He was granted bail, but he is expected to re-appear before the EFCC.
