ALUU 4 : The deceased were not armed robbers, they were set up by a debtor - IG of Police



The Police has declared a Mr. Coxson Leleboru Lucky aka Bright wanted for the murder of the four UniPort students; Ugonna, Lloyd, Tekena and Chiadaka killed by a mob at Aluu community.

Contrary to speculation, the IG of Police confirmed that the four students who were killed were not armed robbers but students set up by a debtor called Coxson. Coxson was owing one of the the young men money for a while and  when they came to collect what was their due, instead of paying up, he raised a false alarm calling them thieves. This alarm incited the mob and they killed them.


 In the statement issued, four suspects were also directly linked to the murder of the students are in police custody (Chigozie Samuel Evans, Felemo Solomon, Cynthia Chinwo, and Ozioma Abajuo) while the Aluu community chief, Alhaji Hassan Welewa is said to be the one who incited the mob to unleash jungle justice on the boys.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Coxson Lelebori Lucky, aka Bright should inform the Police immediately. The murder of Ugonna Obuzor, 18, 200 Level Geology; Lloyd Toku, 19, 200 Level Civil Engineering; Tekena Elkanah, 20, a Diploma Technical student and Chiadaka Odinga, 20, 200 Level Theatre Arts must not go unpunished.
