US Ambassador to Libya killed

Late US Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens

The United States Ambassador to Libya, John Christopher Stevens has been killed in an attack at the US Consulate in Benghazi.

Protesters stormed the building with grenades and set fire on the building and in the process the Ambassador died.

It is a religious riot linked to an amateur video made in the US said to have portrayed prophet Mohammed negatively. 3 other people were killed in the attacks.

There were also protests in Egypt over the same video.
