The Federal Government on Saturday announced their plan to monetary reward the victorious Paralympics athletes and female Under 20 footballers, Falconets.
Each Falconet will get N1m, while their coaches and handlers will receive N1.2m each.
For the paralympians;
- Gold medalist would collect N5m each and will be conferred with a national honor of Member of the Order of the Niger.
- Silver medalists would collect N3m each
- Bronze medalists would collect N2m each.
- Other participants who did not win a medal will get 500k each.
- Their handlers will each get N2.5m.
This is good news considering the poor reception they received on their way back home.
