The unknown woman was said to have told the baby's mother that she preferred to seat at the back row with the baby and she agreed without sensing any foul play. Oseh, according to the source, then left the woman with the baby and went to sit on the front row and asked her older child, who earlier backed the baby, to sit with the woman. After the baby’s mother had settled down for the church service, the strange woman sent the older child to buy Tom Tom for her. As soon as the girl left, she absconded with the baby. Commenting on the incident, Parish Priest of the Church, Revd. Fr. Bernard Achuku, expressed shock at the development, saying that efforts were on to uncover the perpetrator.
