Planes were not allowed to land at the Abuja airport yesterday and 24 hours after, the same is still the case.
My friend who got on the first Aero flight out of Lagos this morning is right back in Lagos about two hours after they took off. When they got to Abuja, they were not granted permission to land so they hovered in the air for some minutes and were later advised to return to Lagos.
Of course, they were told them it was due to bad weather conditions but after the blackout at the Abuja airport yesterday, it is easy to guess which actually is the problem. As for the friend and other passengers, aero asked them to hang around as they can still get back to Abuja but as i type this, my friend is nicely tucked in bed in Lagos.Once beaten.....!
