Ruud Van Nisterooy retires from football

35 years old Dutch striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy retired from professional football on Monday.

“Yesterday I played my last match as a professional I think the moment has come for me to stop playing football — I have reached my physical limit, but there could be no better way to say goodbye than this, in a euphoric moment for the club (Malaga).

2 decade career summary:
  1. crowned top scorer in three countries — The Netherlands, England and Spain.
  2. 60 goals in the Champions League, he remains that competition’s second-highest scorer, behind Raul of Spain.
  3. 5 seasons with Manchester United , (winning the English league with them once)
  4. 2  Liga titles during four seasons with Real Madrid.
  5. 2 season  with Hamburg.
  6. Malaga last year.
I always like Ruud because i liked the sound of his name + my uncle 'Chaloski' was crazy about him when he was in Man U!
