The Ogun State Police Command, yesterday, said it killed four robbery suspects and recovered three locally-made pistols after bursting a robbery attack on a bus on the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.

Adejobi said the Divisional Police Officer of the station in the area, Haruna Bashir, immediately swung into action and met the gangsters robbing the passengers, who took to their heels on sighting the police.
He said the police shot four of the robbers during a gun duel. They died on their way to the hospital.
Adejobi, who claimed others escaped with bullet wounds, said items recovered from the robbers included three locally- made pistols, eight live expanded cartridges, and some weeds of Indian hemp.
He said: "An 18-seater hummer bus with number-plate Abuja, BRA 445 GWA, loaded with 18 passengers from North to Ibadan, on getting to Fidiwo was attacked by three of the passengers. One of them brought out a locally-made pistol and hijacked the vehicle, diverted it into the bush where other members of the gang were waiting for them.”
”A good-spirited individual who saw the bus being driven into the bush alerted the DPO Isara Division about the attack. We recovered all the items collected from the victims such as two blackberry phones, two Nokia handsets, I Compaq Laptop, among others."
