14 AIGs of Police retire

THE Federal Government has served 14 Assistant Inspectors- General (AIGs) of Police notices of retirement. The Police Service Commission (PSC) served the notices.
It lays to rest rumours about retirement of some senior officers of the Force following the appointment of the Acting Inspector- General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Dikko Abubakar.

Some of the affected retired AIGs are Amakulor Uzor, Zone 8, Lokoja; Ibrahim Paiko Machi, Zone 10, Sokoto; Uzuegbuna Johnson, Zone 11, Osogbo, Christopher Ademola, Zone 2, Lagos, Danlami Yar'Adua, AIG Intelligence, Mohammed Zarewa, Force Secretary, Ibrahim Maina, AIG Border Patrol, Shehu Babalola, Commandant, POLAC, Wudyl, Kano and John Moronike, Commandant, Police Staff College, Jos.

Thirteen Commissioners of Police (CPs) were recently promoted to the rank of AIG.

They are Solomon E. Olusegun, CP, Osun State; Michael E. Zuokumor, CP, Federal Capital Territory (FCT); Orubebe Gandhi Ebikeme, Philemon I. Leha, CP, Police Mobile Force; Jonathan Johnson, CP, Administrations; Dan'azumi Job Doma, Joseph Ibi, CP, Training; Muktari Ibrahim, Suleiman A. Abba, CP, Rivers State; Mamman Ibrahim Tsafe, CP, Delta; Saliu Argungu Hashimu, Solomon E. Arase, CP, Akwa Ibom; and David O. Omojola, who is currently on course at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic, Kuru, Jos.
