President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu as the new Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Group Managing Director (GMD). He is a first class law graduate from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He also holds a Masters degree and Doctorate degrees from Harvard Law School and he hails from Delta State.

Mr. Umaru Danbatta as the new Executive Chairman and Chief Executive of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). Professor Danbatta holds a Doctorate Degree in Electronic Engineering and a Masters Degree in the same field. He also became a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Electronics from the Bayero University Kano (BUK), specializing in Telecommunications Engineering and Information and Communications Technology.

A statement by Femi Adesina, the presidential Spokesman, said the president has approved the appointments of Umaru Danbatta as the new Executive Chairman and Chief Executive of the NCC and the Ibe Kachikwu as the new Group Managing Director of NNPC.
