Dana Air resumes flight operations

The suspension of flight operations of Dana Air by NCAA due to saftey concerns, the suspension has been lifted and Dana Air given the go ahead to commence business as usual. Read statement released by Dana Air in this regard below;

Dear Esteemed Guest, We are pleased to announce that the airline has been given approval to resume flight operations with immediate effect following the temporary suspension of our operations on Saturday, 16th March, 2013. Scheduled flights will now commence on Tuesday 19th March, 2013 on the Lagos-Abuja-Lagos route. FG suspends DanaAir licence again

The Federal Government has again suspended the operating licence of Dana Air pending the resolution of certain safety issues.

The Acting Director-General, NCAA, Joyce Nkemakolam, confirmed that the s took effect on Saturday morning, would last until the safety issues were rectified by the carrier. The suspension followed a directive from the Ministry of Aviation, asking the airline to stop operation until “some safety issues that cropped up over the weekend were resolved.”

Dana Air has been operating for 3-months after a 7-month suspension ban was lifted following the crash of its Boeing MD-83 that killed 163 people in Lagos.
