Cardinal commence papal election today
A total of 115 cardinals will gather at the papal conclave to elect a new Pope.
The process to selecting a new Pope has commenced with a mass at the St Peter's Basilica after which the the cardinals that are eligible to vote will proceed to the Sistine Chapel to begin the secret election called the conclave.
The only clue the world will have if a new Pope has been elected or not will be the smoke puffing from a copper chimney. Black smoke will signify a Pope has not emerged and the white smoke will signify; a new Pope has emerged.
we wait.
