The defense Headquarters have said to have arrested the suspects behind the Jos and Zaria blasts. The Nigerian Military has explained how the suspects were caught and arrested.
The defense headquarters tweeted that the unnamed suspects who were behind the blast on Sunday and Tuesday have been taken into custody in Gombe.
Sani Usman, the spokesperson for the Army, has given further details on the arrests
''Please recall that on Sunday the 5th of July 2015, suspected Boko Haram terrorists carried out coordinated bomb and gun attacks on worshipers at Yan Taya mosque ,Dillimi street, off Bauchi Road Jos, Plateau State which led to the death of over 48 person, injuring several other persons and destruction of property, ''similarly, the terrorists carried out another bomb attack on hapless workers undergoing verification exercise at Sabon Gari Local Government Secretariat, Zaria, Kaduna State which resulted in the death of over 25 people including a two year old school child and destruction of property.
Consequently, security cordon was established in the general area especially along bauchi, Gombe and North Eastern part of the country by the troops of 3 Division and Special Task Force, as well as the Department of State Services. This culminated in the successful arrest of the masterminds of the heinous acts and two of his accomplices at a check point in Dadin Kowa, Gombe State. The terrorists kingpin and his colleagues were disguised in a trailer while trying to evade checks were fished out by troops of the Nigeria Army.
''The arrested terrorists are currently being processed for further action and would soon face the wrath of the law.''
The general public is advised to be more vigilant.
