Fire outbreak at MMIA, Lagos

An electric spark at the arrival lounge of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, (MMIA) Lagos resulted in a fire outbreak that caused panic among passengers at the airport. Fortunately, it was immediately put under control by men of the fire service department.

Governor Suswam has raised alarm over rumors that he may be attacked anytime purportedly by the Boko Haram sect. 

"Going by security reports available to me, I may be attacked any day, anywhere, anytime and this is the reason I called on you Christians to pray for me and my family".

Governor Suswam who spoke at the NKST church in Makurdi statedthat only two Christian Governors are now left standing from the north, out of 19 states in the region. This been the case after the Helicopter crash that claimed the life of Patrick Yakowa (and Gen. Owoeye Azazi) and the current situation of the Taraba State Governor.

Don Jazzy recently announced the opening of his club 'POP' on twitter and Dbanj followed soon after announcing his too 'One Eleven'. Dbanj will open his today while Don Jazzy's is next week Saturday.

Not too long ago, D Prince tried his hands in the same venture and closed shop not long after. Flavor also recently opened his. It must be the hottest business in town i guess.

Seems these two are competitiing between themselves. I wonder who will be patronized the most but i guess the crowd/turn out at each event will tell.....Oya, show your loyalty by going!

I will perform better in 2013 - GEJ

President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, asked Nigerians to expect a better and improved performance from his Government in 2013.

He spoke at the Presidential Christmas Carol held at the Banquet Hall of the presidential villa, he stresses onsecurity, power, aviation and encouraged everyone to embrace unity and peaceful co-existence. Read part of his speech below;

 “I urge Nigerians to, in the spirit of Christmas, embrace peace. The wars will not save us. Christ brought peace to free everybody. We have challenges, but we have everything in place to overcome them.In the New Year, we will see the changes in the airports, seaports, power and security as we progress. Surely, 2013 will be a better year for the country”.

Yea...you can now yawn! 

Tragic: 27 killed in school massacre

A gunman has been killed after opening fire at Sandy Hook elementary school in Nweton, Connecticut. An official has told press that atleast 27 people are dead, including 18 children.

Although reports confirms that only gunman carried out this massacre, another 20 year old has been arrested in connection to the shooting. The Police are also searching a location in New Jersey in connection with the attack.

Parents of the victims have been informed. More updates later.

Woman conceals cocaine in breast implants

A woman smuggling more than a kilogram of cocaine hidden inside implants in her breasts was been caught by Spanish Police on Wednesday.

The Panamanian woman  “had two breast implants containing cocaine implanted in her. She had two open cuts under each of her breasts. She intended in that way to bring more than a kilogram of the drug into Spain,” said a release by the Police.

During the routine search at the airport, they found bloody dressings on the wounds. She taken to the hospital where doctors removed the implants and tests showed that they contained 1.3 kilograms (three pounds) of cocaine.

MAKURDI: 16 year old electrocuted and with severe burns while vandalizing a PHCN cable

A 16-year-old boy, Terseer Iorparegh, was yesterday caught stuck in a high tension cable while attempting to vandalize the PHCN cable along Naka road in Makurdi.

Vanguard gathered from the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Gabriel Suswam on Public Utilities, Mr. Gaddafi Asemanya who was at the scene said residents of the area were woken up by shout of help from the young man around 2.am on Thursday only to behold the teenager hanging between the high tension cable after he had suffered shock and first degree burns

Reverend Yinka Yusuf speaks on the rot in some churches

My dear friends, ministerial success without conscience is nothing but self foolery. I feel so sad and ashamed of the havoc and deceptive manipulation going on among the Pentecostal movement around the world. The demonic invasion of false prophets who collaborate with so-called pastors without conscience to rob Gods people in the name of prophecy.

To make matters worse, even the true prophets are intimidated and quiet because they are not as united and loud as the fake ones. Most of our young upcoming ministers who are supposed to bring back honor to the name of Jesus are daily initiated into this satanic prophetic movement. Where are our true prophets? Where is the voice of the church? God is slow to anger, but god does get angry.

 The leadership of the church are thinking more of their individual church aquariums rather than the general body of Christ. They will rather stay back and collect useless tithes from fake prophets than advice them about their soul. Every fake move has an end. The church of god is moving on and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. May all this agents of hell be destroyed by the same blood of Calvary. May they die on their altars of deception. Some of us from other religions know the Jesus who shed his blood for us, no turning back for us. We are ready to die carrying this cross than to sell our conscience on a plate of success. The real gospel of Christ is our legacy and we are ready to die for it. Join the fight against the invasion of fake prophets. Let’s expose them and bring back the true gospel of Christ. Share this with as many people as possible, and my god will give you a testimony.

Kidnapped mother of Finance Minister, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo - Iweala freed

The 82-year old mother of Nigeria's Finance Minister, Mrs Okonjo who was kidnapped five days ago by unknown gun men has been freed. It was reported that the kidnappers demanded for N200m for her release but as of now, details of how she was freed has not been released. 

Dr Mrs Okonji-Iweala's spokesman confirmed Madam Okonjo's release in a statement below;. 

“I can confirm that Professor Mrs. Kamene Okonjo, wife of the Obi of Ogwashi-Uku, Professor Chukuka Okonjo and mother of the Coordinating Minister for the Economy/Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was released this morning, five days after her abduction.The Okonjo Family is full of thanks to the Almighty for this happy development. The family is also highly appreciative of the support and encouragement of President Goodluck Jonathan; the Country’s security services for their excellent operations; Governors Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta, Peter Obi of Anambra, Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers and other Governors."

Woman volunteers to breastfeed tiger cubs

Ms Hla Htay volunteered to breatfeed the cubs pictured above after they were taken from their mother because she already killed one of them.

Hla agreed to breastfeed them until they grow teeth................before nko?!

But i wonder if  this woman had a child recently for her to be producing breast milk. If she does, is she feeding her baby and the cubs at the same time? is that even healthy?

Nigerian Girl killed in Rome, Italy

27 years old Nigerian, Franca Abumen living in Rome, Italy was   murdered by unknown men who tied her ankles and strangling her to death with a black cord, tied around her neck.

Franca was killed in the woods of Stifone, between Narni Waters, in Rome and her body was found 24 hours after her death on Sunday 10th of December, 2012; after her friends called the police to declare her missing when she failed to return home from he work as a prostitute .

The police commands Carabinieri in Rome and Viterbo are working to give the killers names and faces as soon as possible.

Sad thing that a young girl had to even be involved with prostitution that made her this vulnerable.

May her soul rest in peace!

Chris Okotie responds to INEC de-registering his party, plans to sue.

The Independent Nantional Electoral Comission recently de-registered some parties and Rev Chris Okotie's political party, FRESH Democratic Party was one of them.  The Pastor/Politican plans to contest again in 2015 and well......he needs a platform to do that. read his grammar comments below;

"We are very amused by the shenanigans calculations of INEC. I believe that INEC is fronting for the PDP and that its the 2015 fever that has overtaken that political party in such a way that it is beginning to malfunction and demonstrate a pathological dysfunctionality. It is very obvious to us at Fresh party that their intention is to erase completely, the voice of the opposition. So they have parochialised the definition of an opposition party to align with their egostic agenda such that it would become impossible to speak. How can a political party that is in power define the character and the configuration of its own opposition.

The 65 year old actor passed away early hours of today in an Indian hospital.

Enebeli who battled a protracted illness and was bedridden for a couple of months before he died. He will be remembered for his many roles in Nigerian movies. May his soul rest in peace.

2 billion demanded from bishop Oyedepo by parents of girl who died in a school owned by Winners Chapel

Mr. Jolly Omokaro, father of four-year-old Miss Imienfan Omokaro who recently drowned at the Kingdom Heritage Model School, an arm of Winners Chapel on Sapele Road, Benin City, Edo State, is demanding N2 billion as general damages from General Overseer of the church, David Oyedepo, within 14 days.

The demand was contained in a letter dated November 28, by Omokaro’s counsel, Peter Uwadiae-Igbinigie.

Uwadiae-Igbinigie explained that the amount was “for the callous and senseless killing of our client’s daughter, Miss Imienfan Omokaro.”

Besides, Omokaro’s lawyer wants Kingdom Heritage Model School to tender unreserved apology in three national newspapers, warning that if the demands were not met within 14 days, “We have the irrevocable instructions of our client to commence legal action against the school (Kingdom Heritage Model School) and church (Winners Chapel) without any further correspondence from this chambers.”
