Brazil cancels football match with Nigeria over terrorism fears

The Brazilian football association has cancelled their planned September friendly match against the Nigerian Super Eagles due to incessant bombing incidents in the country.

This followed the US listing of the top 3 Boko Haram leaders as terrorists and placed them on a watch list.

Hopefully this security situation in the country would improve drastically soon else other parties would start cancelling engagements to Nigeria and then foreigners would start shutting down their businesses and start pulling out of the country. For a country not at war, this is really a sad situation!
