Kogi State Police Command has paraded seven men suspected to be behind the recent armed robbery and kidnapping incidents in Okene and Ankpa axis of the state.

Parading the suspects at the command headquarters in Lokoja, the outgoing Commissioner of Police, Mr Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi, said the men were members of three different gangs, who have been on the police wanted list.
Mr Ogunjemilusi, who is performing his last assignment as the Commissioner of Police in the state, recounted some of the evil deeds of the gang, adding that the next action is to take them to court.
Femi Owonibi, and his brother, Kehinde Ibrahim narrated to journalists how they kidnapped an eight-month old pregnant woman, kept her in the bush for three days before she was released after collecting a N1 million ransom.
Another suspect, Mohammed Abubakar, also explained how they attempted to rob a pastor in Ankpa, but failed as the man of God shot at one of them.
Items recovered from the suspects were money, phones, charms, ak47 riffle, axe, wrist watches, iPad and locally made guns.
