Jessica Bongos-Ikwue, from Otukpo, Benue State was born on July 15th 1983. Being from a musical family, music has been a major part of her life for as long as she can remember. Instruments always intrigued her. She played the piano as a child and the sound of the bass guitar has always been her all time favourite.
Jessica officially started singing with her father, Bongos Ikwue in 2006 (recording backing vocals on a few of his songs). Her favourite music genres are old school Motown, soul, R'n'b, jazz, alternative and gospel and her vocal style is influenced by soul, jazz and Rhythm and Blues (RnB).
