| Mother and baby after birth |
A 10 year old Colombian girl gave birth to a baby girl through Caesarean section. The girl was said to have almost lost her life during the birth which is not surprising considering her age. The identity of the girl is still anonymous and the father is also unknown.
World record for the youngest pregnancy is however still held by Lina Medina, a Peruvian girl who gave birth just two weeks after her fifth birthday 1933.
