President Buhari's ''son'' arrested for fraud

A scam artist, who has been posing as the son of President Buhari has been defrauding Nigerians with promises of getting them contracts and for them to see the President or Governors has been arrested by the operatives of the Federal Capital Territory(FCT) Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

A statement from the FCT SARS say the suspect had continuously promised to secure contracts for his victims. Reports say he made billions of naira through his scam. He will drop names of top politicians and even make fake calls in the presence of his victims and also show them super imposed pictures of him and the president and other top politicians. The statement reads....

''He mostly approached big contractors, who were desperate to see the president or any of the governors. He would put fake calls across to the supposed politicians in the presence of his victims and convince them to book appointments.
From there, he would demand that the politician’s security officials needed to be settled with huge amounts of money before the contractor would be granted audience with the president or the governor.”

Luck ran out on him when one of his victims paid him money and for several weeks he (victim) was yet to see Mr President. He reported the matter to the police. It turned out to be someone the police have been looking for similar offences in the past.

The Police Public Relations Officer for the FCT command, Anjuguri Manzah, confirmed the story, acting on a tipoff, the suspect was arrested  by the SARS on Saturday, July 4th at about 2.am. According to the statement he had defrauded a lot of people and three Mercedes Benz cars and Peugeot 406 were recovered as exhibits.

''The truth is that the suspect had defrauded so many people. To perfect his act, he paraded himself as the son of the president. Three Mercedez Benz and one Peugeot 406 cars were recovered from him as exhibits."
