Capt. Idris Wada, Kogi State Governor has flagged off the construction of Ankpa township road. Wada who performed the ceremony in Ankpa said that it's in fulfillment of his campaign promises as well as to demonstrate his determination to provide good road networks across the senatorial districts in the state.
The construction which will cost N642 million, is very important to the people of Ankpa and it serves an important role among commercial and financial center in the state. Ankpa holds one of the largest markets in the state and houses banks and medium scale enterprises. The project is to be completed in 12 months.
Governor Wada also warned the senior staff of the State Ministry of Works not to compromise standards and he also warned the contractors not to do a shoddy job.
Mr. Godwin Onamah, who is the state Commissioner of Works, assured the governor of the ministry's readiness to supervise the project ,while appealing to the contractor to adhere to specifications and he also solicited to the people in the area to enable the government deliver more gains of democracy.
