Charles Eguridu, an official of the council said the test could not be used to determine the knowledge of students in certain subjects, as the councils exams are based on theory not objectives.
''I am yet to see any educational expert who will tell you that you can measure the psycho motor domain using the Computer Based Test (CBT).
''Any test that will use computer to evaluate who will be a good carpenter or evaluate who will be a good plumber cannot be valid.
''The examinations we conduct in WAEC take into cognisance these three domains. The cognitive domain that measure your ability to recall, apply and other areas of knowledge you have required '' he said, listing some aspects of what the examination body considers in the examination process.
''It will be intellectually dishonest for me or anybody for that matter, no matter how highly paced, to announce to Nigerian public that he or she is going to go full CBP in conducting a certificate examination in Nigeria. I beg to differ.'' he said.
Mr Eguridu, said the council has however, introduced some technological gadgets to curb malpractices recorded in their examinations.
He stresses that results of students who are found to be involved in any form of malpractice will be withheld.
