Ajegunle Residents cry out!!!

This is the time of the year some residents are scared of rain, because their houses are usually flooded. The Ajegunle residents for instance are thrown out of their homes because of flood. The drainage channels in their communities are shallow and the water has no where to go than flood their houses and roads. The past administration awarded contracts for two roads to Rojo Engineering and Construction company and Wallways Technical limited; the roads are Ojoku-Ohuntan Streets and Onishapa-Akogun Streets for construction, grading and surface dressing respectively. The two projects were stalled due to inadequate funds.

Several parts of Lagos have good roads. when Vanguard visited the community last Monday, the four major roads in the community were riddled of pot holes, shallow drainage channels, lack of walk ways and street lights. This forced motorist. Motorcyclists and tricycles meandering through the potholes. The four major roads are : Boundary-Aiyetoro-Ojo Road-Alaba Sur; Boundary-Baale-Mba-Cardoso-Otto Woff'; Boundary -Tolu-Kirikiri-Berger Suya and Ojoku-Idewu-Industrial Avenue.

Ajegunle residents are calling on the State government to come to their rescue so that this problem can be fixed once and for all.
