Air Nigeria suspended again by NCAA
Air Nigeria, the airline belonging to business mogul, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, has been suspended by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, allegedly because the airline is in financial distress.
NCAA said the suspension takes immediate effect.
Air Nigeria has apologised to its passengers, saying: “We wish to apologise for all the inconvenience that this order by the NCAA will bring on our passengers and wish to assure that Air Nigeria will continue to liaise with the relevant agencies to ensure that the suspension order is lifted as soon as possible.”
The airline was recently accused of tax violations by the Federal Internal Revenue Service and its Ethiopian CEO arrested. Before then, its workers went on strike over salary arrears, paralysing its domesti operations.
